Tylenol Recall

You may have heard that McNeil Consumer Healthcare (the makers of TYLENOL®) is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products that were manufactured between April, 2008 and June, 2008. All products manufactured met internal specifications. However, the company is implementing this recall because during this period, an unused portion of one inactive ingredient did not meet all quality standards. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it was decided to recall all Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products listed below, which were made during this time.

Parents and caregivers who have questions or concerns should contact their child's health care provider or our consumer call center at 1-800-962-5357 (available Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time). Consumers can find the lot numbers on the bottom of the box containing the liquid product and also on the sticker that surrounds the product bottle. The lot numbers of the affected products are listed below.

These actions do not apply to Children's TYLENOL® Meltaways and Junior Strength TYLENOL® Meltaways. The voluntary recall applies only to select lots of Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products.

Jump, Stretch, Play at SGA!

Seattle Gymnastics Academy opens a new location in dear old Ballard. Yipeee!

Offering classes of course, they also offer a drop-in indoor playtime in the gym. Expose your young ones, ages 1-5, to gymnastics as you escort them through the gym. Read about the rules here.

And check out what the gym looks like, in progress!

What to be for Halloween? How about Green?

We love that a Seattle-area mom started the 'green', healthier, more eco-friendly path to having a green Halloween! Check out her press release here.

Check out Seattle Thrift stores for ideas for your twins. We recycled old red sleepers, blue ski hats, and used some recycled office supplies to make costumes for our twins.

Our son, however, did get a new Cat-in-the-Hat costume.

Our rule is, do what you can, when you can. If recycling and reusing are not convenient at the moment, just make a promise to yourself, your kids and your family to try again, while staying sane and enjoying the time you have! Happy Halloween.

Seattle Parents of Multiples - Got Twins in Seattle?

Whether you live in Seattle, in the US, or somewhere far away from our tiny community online, we'd love to share some of our parenting tips with you. This week, we talk about strollers. Our advice? Don't invest a lot of cash until babies are at least 6 months old. You can get by with a double snap-n-go style stroller, just drop the infant car seats with your twin babies in the stroller and you are good to go.

Later, we will talk about various types and styles of double strollers, from jogging styles to fold-up lightweight shopping styles. Tandem or side-by-side? Stay tuned.

Indoor Fun at the Movies with Babies

With Winter here, I'm reminded of a story I wrote for Red Tricycle -- bring your twins to the movies and enjoy!

---

As the Summer months become a distant memory, and record rains soak through even the sturdiest Seattle Gortex, many a seasoned movie viewer may be kicking the diaper pail in frustration -- especially after learning the local AMC 'Reel Moms' movie showings have been discontinued. If a jaunt over to the eastside isn't out of the question, Kirkland's Parkplace Cinema and Bellevue's Lincoln Square Cinemas offer satisfying indoor outings during their Parent/Baby movie days.

Parkplace runs all of their regular showings for their Baby Day (every other Friday morning) leaving excited parents the freedom to pick from any of the latest new releases. After the film, if Junior is zonked out from nursing through the entire film, zip over to one of the snack shops or get started on your holiday shopping at the neighboring boutiques.

Long to be waited on hand and foot? Lincoln Square Cinema offers you a bit of pampering with comfy, rocking stadium seating, and a full row where Moms can bring in strollers and park them to watch the movie. The 'At your Seat Concession' service assures you won't go hungry -- you'll receive a menu and a tiny pencil on the way in -- just fill it out and a concierge will take your order, and serve it at your seat promptly. The lights are raised a tad and the sound is lower at both venues, but the movie experience is a fantastic reminder that you can have a social life and keep up on the current flicks with Little One in tow.

Hint: Whether breast or bottle-feeding, consider bringing a nursing pillow -- you'll have plenty of room to toss it on the seat next to you when not in use!

Getting out with your newborn twins

Now that your babies are here, out of the hospital, and home with you and your family, how can you overcome what might be one of M.O.M's biggest fears -- getting out and about with 2 babies?
